New local tech firm gives businesses the “Edge”
Unique framework of managed services keeps networks safe and productive
CHILLICOTHE, OH (March 13, 2006) With 46 years of combined experience in wireline and wireless communications, software development and implementation, and systems integration, a team of local residents has launched Leading Edge Integration, LLC, a full-service technology consulting firm and systems integrator.
The new company’s principals are a former executive and senior manager of Horizon PCS, formerly the regional affiliate of Sprint PCS. “Leading Edge Integration employs a unique framework for providing managed information technology services,” says President Joe Corbin. Along with Dusty Countryman, Vice President of Technology, Corbin is eager to introduce this new framework – “the Edge” – to local businesses and organizations looking for reliable, cost-effective, proactive systems management. “Preventing delays and downtime due to software upgrades and damages caused by viruses, spyware and other threats in today’s computer environments is critical for any business operation,” Corbin says.
A comprehensive analysis and four-phase process, beginning with a needs assessment, ensures clients will receive services that are customized to meet their current business needs as well as anticipated growth. Carver Community Center, Leading Edge has donated time, labor and equipment to upgrade and network eight computers donated to the center for use in offices and the children’s computer lab. Countryman installed cabling, a gateway router with firewall and anti-virus software to provide improved, secure Internet access for children and staff using the computers. He also discussed Internet safety with young students in the afterschool program.
